DataFavorites - bringing data to hand

DataFavorites is a simple tool for easily creating database queries that
can be quickly rerun at anytime by clicking the DataFavorites icon in your
System Tray. This utility provides read only access to your databases for easy
perusal of it's contents. It can be used by anyone who accesses databases in
their working life, as a tool for Quality Assurance(QA), documentation or
verification.
DataFavorites sits unobtrusively in the system tray for quick access to saved
SQL statements, giving easy access to your data at your fingertips with only
one click. Writing the SQL statements with DataFavorites is simple and
effective with the inbuilt Query Builder, allowing data extraction with minimum
effort.
The latest version for can be downloaded free from
the downloads page. This is the completely functional version that will
nag you about registering the product (in the manner of Winzip). However, we do
escalate the nagging time much faster than Winzip.
A screen shot of a results grid is show below with the grid on the left, the
current record details on the right and a navigation tool bar for moving
around, searching and exporting to Microsoft Excel.

A few examples of DataFavorites usage
Janet is a production manager and needs to know which
undelivered orders are due in the next two days.
Mark is a sales manager and needs to produce a sales summary
for head office each day.
Debbie is a developer and wants to know the current state of
the product table while she is testing.
Roger is a database administrator and wants to know what
orders have been placed since this morning.
Heather is an accountant and wants to know what sales invoices
have reached 90 days without being paid.
Of course, many of these questions could be answered by appropriately designed
database and a standard report. But if you need to view a set of data
repeatedly and your current application is not sympathetic to your needs then

The query builder is designed to provide a drag and drop experience for users
who are not necessarily familiar with the Structured Query Language.
The easy drag and drop interface will allow you to peruse your database with
ease, selecting the fields that you wish to view, simply by clicking on the
item.
